KTM 500 EXC-F Review

The new KTM 500 EXC-F gets an updated design that draws inspiration from the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. It uses a central double-cradle type 25CrMo4 frame like its sibling the KTM 125 SX. It gets a 48 mm WP XPLOR upside-down front fork with compression damping on the left and rebound damping on the right. At the rear, it is fitted with a WP XPLOR shock absorber that has been re-tuned to make it firmer. Both the front and rear suspensions of the KTM 500 EXC-F are fully adjustable. It comes with a 260 mm disc front disc brake with Brembo calipers and a 220 mm rear disc brake with Brembo calipers. The KTM 500 EXC has a dry weight of 105.6 kg and its ground clearance is 355 mm.

It comes with a 510.9cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC engine that uses a Keihin engine management system. The KTM 500 EXC-F has a maximum power output of 39.4 horsepower and its peak torque output is 27.7 lb-ft. It gets a 6-speed transmission made by PANKL racing systems and it also features a KTM developed DDS clutch. It comes with a pair of radiators with CFD technology for engine cooling.
