Yamaha PW50 Review

The Yamaha PW50 is lightweight and compact in design which makes it apt for young riders. It gets a 26 mm telescopic front suspension with 2.4 inches of travel like the bigger dirt-bike, Yamaha PW80. this bike is fitted with a unit-swing dual rear shock absorber with 2 inches of wheel travel. It comes with enclosed drum brakes on both wheels that provide predictable stopping power. The Yamaha PW50 gets durable 10-inch mag-type front and rear wheels that are wrapped with knobby tires. This trail bike has a wheelbase of 30.7 inches and it has a maximum ground clearance of 3.7 inches. It has a very low seat height of only 18.7 inches.

Powering this mini-trail bike is a 49cc single-cylinder motor with reed valve induction. Its 2-stroke engine uses an oil-injection system that eliminates the need for oil/fuel pre-mixing. It gets a single-speed fully automatic transmission with a wet centrifugal automatic clutch. Its fully enclosed shaft-drive system is virtually maintenance-free and it is very durable. The Yamaha PW80 top speed is nearly 28 mph which is surprisingly good. Its 2-stroke engine has a predictable power delivery that makes it easier to handle for new riders. Its curb weight is 90 lb and this trail bike gets racy styling like the Yamaha YZ125.

Updates

Honda CRF125F Review

The Honda CRF125F comes with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, engine with a 2-valves SOHC valvetrain. This bike gets a four-speed gearbox with a reliable Honda heavy-duty mechanical clutch. The fuel injection system makes it smoother and more efficient. Its maximum power output is 8.9 HP and its maximum torque output is 10.2 Nm. The Honda CRF125F top speed is 65 mph and it doesn’t have an out-of-the-box top-end performance. It comes with shorter gear ratios and this bike is tuned for low-end torque delivery. The new model also comes with a maintenance-free battery and an electric starter. It offers smooth and easy-to-control power and torque that makes it perfect for new riders.

It is also offered in a big wheel variant but it only gets one color option like the Honda XR650L. It comes with a 31 mm telescopic front fork that has a travel of 5.2 inches. At the rear, it comes with a pro-link shock absorber that offers travel of 5.5 inches. The front wheel is equipped with a 220 mm hydraulic 2-piston caliper disc brake and the rear wheel is equipped with a drum brake.
